Congregation B'nai Jacob

May God make you like Ephraim and Menashe
GAN BERESHEET PRE-SCHOOL

Welcome to the new school year, 5768. Please know that you play a very important role in the educational experience of your children.  We ask that you become more familiar with the goals of our program and thus will wish to participate as much as possible in the educational process of your child here at Congregation B ’nai Jacob.

Our Goals:

  1. Provide students the skills they need to live a Jewish life – knowledge of Torah, Jewish rituals, customs, life cycles, holidays, literature, history and belief, Synagogue skills, and Hebrew language skills.
  1. Develop within our students a love of K’lal Yisrael and a tolerance of the diversity that lies within Judaism and the world.
  1. Establish a relationship with Israel , the people and the land.
  1. Promote a sense of community within Congregation B ’nai Jacob, and to possess an appreciation of the Synagogue as a House of Prayer, House of Assembly and a House of Study.
  1. Help students identify and develop their own Jewish identity.

Please join us in providing a meaningful Jewish education for our youth, by committing yourself to these goals. With your assistance our children will be brought to understand and to appreciate the values, ideals, and traditions of our Jewish way of life.

B’Shalom,

Rabbi Mitchell Kornspan

Principal

Parents and Teacher: A Partnership

We believe that parents are the most important influence in a child's life. We want you to share in the decisions about your child's care and religious learning. Many parents volunteer at the Federation pre-school in story and play time.

Stimulating and Safe Environment

The Jewish Federation pre-school is held in two spacious classrooms in a facility in Southwest Fort Wayne. These classrooms are well equipped with furniture, learning materials, books and state of the art educational toys. We continuously add new educational games and projects. We include updated equipment and materials yearly to keep the school current with the educational standards of early childhood education.

Dear Parents:

Thank you for your interest in our program. We are delighted that you wish to be part of our ongoing effort to provide quality Jewish education for pre-schoolers. Since 1995, we are continuing to look for ways to serve our working families. Our program has been evaluated with very high marks from our educational consultant. The class meets from 9:00 -11:30 a.m. Children must be the appropriate age by September 1. Give your children a strong foundation in Jewish learning. The Federation pre-school is the only Jewish weekday preschool in Northeast Indiana. Sign up today.
Please feel free to call the Fort Wayne Jewish Federation at 260/422-8566, if you have any questions about our program or if you wish to make an appointment to see our program for yourself.
